Carolina Panthers 53-man roster predictions following 2022 NFL Draft
By Dean Jones

Carolina Panthers CBs
- Jaycee Horn, Donte Jackson, C.J. Henderson, Keith Taylor Jr., Troy Pride Jr., Stantley Thomas-Oliver III, Kalon Barnes.
Although the Carolina Panthers could not get a deal done with Stephon Gilmore, who signed for the Indianapolis Colts in free agency, it might not be a complete disaster providing the young cornerbacks on the roster make the improvements needed in the coming months.
Carolina did manage to re-sign Donte Jackson, who was playing some of his best football in 2021 before injury struck once again. He’ll be tasked with much more next season from a production and leadership standpoint, but the return to full health of Jaycee Horn is another monumental boost for the Panthers that is like an extra first-round pick coming on board.
Horn looked like a shutdown corner in the making before breaking his foot in Week 3. The South Carolina product looks back to his best based on recently published workout videos, so excitement could not be higher regarding his return to the field.
This is a huge season upcoming for the likes of C.J. Henderson, Troy Pride Jr., and Stantley Thomas-Oliver III. Progression is also expected from Keith Taylor Jr. after performing well above expectations during his rookie season.
A spot on the roster might also be attainable for Kalon Barnes, who has elite speed that can be an asset on special teams while he develops under the expert guidance of Steve Wilks.
