Versatility is clearly very important to the Carolina Panthers based on their recruitment since Matt Rhule became head coach. This was evident once again throughout the 2022 NFL Draft and seemed to continue in undrafted free agency with a few that agreed to terms.

One player who boasts this trait is Arron Mosby, who has experience playing almost everywhere on defense in college. The Fresno State product started his career as a defensive back before moving to linebacker and his production in 2021 lining up as a defensive end brought around a substantial upturn in production.

Mosby tallied six sacks and 15.5 tackles for loss. He does all the little things well and although the player is still learning the position, there could be an NFL contribution to come in the future if everything goes well in terms of development.

Having these high athletic traits and reps at multiple positions on defense is something Mosby has working in his favor. It might also make him a key contributor on special teams if Carolina includes him on their 53-man roster.

That does seem to be a long shot right now. But stranger things have happened and the Panthers do have some depth concerns across their defensive front that must be addressed before competitive action resumes.

Mosby shows a willingness to help in any way and improves gradually, he is someone worth keeping a close eye on during the offseason program.
