Who were the biggest steals acquired by the Carolina Panthers during the 2022 NFL Draft and undrafted free agency period?

Obviously, it all comes down to what they do on the field, but the Carolina Panthers walked away from an entertaining draft weekend with a lot going for them. Filling problem holes was their priority early on, which then allowed those in power to acquire some dynamic prospects lower down the pecking order that could turn their exceptional athletic traits into something more with additional development.

Patience was key for the Panthers. Something that was a far cry from their rash decisions over the last two years – many of which came back to haunt them.

Letting things come to them and striking when opportunities arose was fun to watch. It could also mean that the balance of power has shifted slightly in favor of general manager Scott Fitterer, which wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world, in all honesty.

With this in mind, we picked out five prospects acquired during the draft and undrafted free agency that could become steals for the Panthers.

Andrew Parchment – Carolina Panthers WR

Although things didn’t go according to plan for Andrew Parchment over the final two years of his college career, there is a lot to like about the wide receiver’s size and athleticism providing areas of his game improve at the next level.

Parchment looked like a real star in 2019 en route to 65 receptions for 831 receiving yards and seven touchdowns at Kansas. Production dipped substantially during the COVID-19 hit 2020 season and even though the player did show signs of life after transferring to Florida State, it was not enough to hear his name called.

The Carolina Panthers have a crowded wide receiver room. But someone like Parchment forcing his way into the team’s plans cannot be ruled out entirely.
