Much of the hype surrounding this game will be on Deshaun Watson, who spurned some long-term and relentless interest from the Carolina Panthers to join the Cleveland Browns.
Watson might be suspended by the league by this point, which is something to monitor. There is also a slight chance that the contest might also be a Baker Mayfield revenge game if the former Oklahoma standout does eventually end up at Bank of America Stadium.
However, the battle between Jaycee Horn and Amari Cooper is going to be a must-watch for those in the stands and watching on television.
Cooper is one of the best wideouts in the business when firing on all cylinders. Had he not been owed around $20 million in 2022 by the Dallas Cowboys, there’s a high chance he wouldn’t have moved teams this offseason.
This will be a stiff test for Horn.
But one that he can feel confident about.
Horn has a relentless style of play and the elite athleticism to match. For all the positive traits that Cooper brings to the table, there are times when he just doesn’t fancy it on the road and has even been accused of quitting on his team when the going gets tough.
A characteristic that will have Horn smelling blood when the two players square off.
