What outstanding qualities are the Carolina Panthers taking into what promises to be a fascinating 2022 season for the franchise?

The Carolina Panthers now know what games will take place when in 2022 after the league officially released the schedule on Thursday. It’s going to be a tough challenge for Matt Rhule with the pressure well and truly on, but a strong period of recruitment this offseason leaves many reasons to be encouraged if everything goes well from a preparation standpoint.

Things can only get better for the Panthers. This is an organization that’s languished in mediocrity or worse for far too long and team owner David Tepper has yet to experience a winning season since purchasing the franchise from Jerry Richardson – something the billionaire will not want to continue for much longer.

There are some problem areas – mainly at the quarterback spot – that could complicate Carolina’s chances of making a splash. But they do have the salary-cap space to make another move if those in power feel like it would benefit their chances next time around.

Without further ado, here are four outstanding qualities the Panthers are set to take into the 2022 season.

Carolina Panthers have an OL with promise

After a disastrous season for the offensive line in 2021, the Carolina Panthers were correct to make this area of the field their top priority this spring. Something that has the unit looking far stronger providing everything comes together quickly.

The team secured the signings of Bradley Bozeman and Austin Corbett in free agency – two veteran figures that come with some impressive production under their belts in recent seasons.

Carolina also got lucky at No. 6 overall in the 2022 NFL Draft when Ikem Ekwonu – the top player on their board – fell out of the top five. This could finally give the Panthers a bookend tackle tandem with Taylor Moton and couple this with James Campen coaching them up, it could make this unit one of the league’s most improved.
