Selecting the final 53-man roster takes constant performance assessment and valued opinions from coaches who are working with these players every day. Fitterer is renowned for churning over the lower-end of the depth chart considerably during the offseason, getting a look at as many players as possible before settling.

Then, of course, there is the possibility of someone that was waived elsewhere coming on board if the Panthers feel like it can help.
