Christian McCaffrey scores 15 combined TDs

Not having Christian McCaffrey’s supreme red-zone threat consistently was a real blow to the Carolina Panthers over the last two years. Getting to this part of the field doesn’t seem like much of a problem, but converting these opportunities into touchdowns was a complicated process without their best offensive weapon.

McCaffrey’s presence in the backfield completely changes how opposing defenses scheme things up. Stopping him instantly becomes their primary objective, with teams stacking the box with eight or nine players often during games.

This leaves additional space for others to work, which is another overlooked benefit and especially considering how many dynamic playmakers the Panthers have at their disposal.

Again, this all depends on McCaffrey’s health. And everything could go south in the blink of an eye if he went down for a prolonged period of time.

Hopefully, that won’t be the case. If McCaffrey remains as influential as he has been in previous years and manages to secure 15 combined touchdowns throughout the 2022 campaign, then this will prove his doubters wrong and then some.
