Which forgotten former Carolina Panthers players are currently carving their own colorful path away from the franchise in 2022?

The Carolina Panthers are almost unrecognizable from years past following the appointment of head coach Matt Rhule. His arrival came with some substantial player turnover and almost little in the way of steps forward, something that leaves his status hanging by a thread with rumors already circulating about his future beyond the 2022 campaign.

Legendary figures are no longer around as young bucks now look to become the faces of the franchise. However, this has increased disenchantment between the players and fans, which was made worse during COVID-19 restrictions and an inability to attend training camps or games.

It’s always interesting to see how old Carolina players get on in different environments. Based on recent history, some have enjoyed far more success than others.

On this topic, we picked out four former Panthers that still find themselves in the NFL, seemingly against all odds.

Even though the full-back position is a dying breed in today’s NFL, it’s a credit to Alex Armah that he is still able to find opportunities.

The physical presence spent four seasons on the Carolina Panthers to start his career before the new regime went in a different direction. This resulted in Armah signing a deal with the New Orleans Saints before moving to the Washington Commanders midway through the 2021 campaign.

Linking up with his former coach Ron Rivera clearly benefitted Armah. Whether he can establish himself further during the upcoming campaign is another matter entirely.
