Carolina Panthers have a legitimate coaching staff

Matt Rhule ended up getting a reprieve from team owner David Tepper despite no progress in 2022. However, this obviously came with a guarantee that there was going to be a shake-up within the coaching staff.

The Carolina Panthers wasted no time in firing expendable coaches and replacing them with respected figures with a wealth of NFL experience. Something that has been sorely lacking over the first two years under Rhule’s leadership.

James Campen’s arrival should instantly improve an offensive line that’s been significantly strengthened this offseason. New special teams coach Chris Tabor is another that comes with a glowing reputation in league circles.

The return of Steve Wilks as the team’s defensive backs coach has the potential to work wonders on a gifted young secondary. Couple this with a new offensive coordinator coming on board in Ben McAdoo, and the potential for growth is there.

Based on the last two seasons, Rhule needs all the help he can get. Coaches who’ve seen it all and in some cases been head coaches themselves can only help the Panthers ahead of a crucial campaign.
