Which Carolina Panthers players should the team continue building around for future success in 2022 and potentially beyond?
The Carolina Panthers might not have much to show in terms of results since Matt Rhule took charge, but there is enough talent across the roster to suggest that some long-term targets can be met.
This was an ethos preached by team owner David Tepper and Rhule over the offseason period. But there is no doubt that Panthers fans will be searching for some real improvements in 2022 despite the widespread media offering little in the way of optimism from a tough-looking schedule.
Everyone has been in good spirits as OTAs got underway this week. Hopefully, it will be the first building block to a much-improved campaign for Carolina and something that can finally provide the fanbase with a sense of hope at long last.
With this in mind, we picked out five Panthers players the team should continue building around for future success.
Player No. 1
Jeremy Chinn – Carolina Panthers S
Acquiring dynamic, athletic players has been a core part of recruitment for the Carolina Panthers under the current regime. And former second-round pick Jeremy Chinn might be the best of the bunch.
Chinn is athletic, possesses supreme instincts, and has a game-changing presence that can influence proceedings all over the field. The arrival of defensive backs coach Steve Wilks should help the Southern Illinois product take his game to new heights in 2022, which could see a first Pro Bowl selection arrive if everything falls into place.
There is no denying Chinn is an integral part of Carolina’s plans moving forward. Building around the defensive back and playing to his strengths will be the best way for him to flourish.
