After a series of eye-catching arrivals, just how much can the Carolina Panthers’ offensive line improve during the 2022 season?

It was another cataclysmic season across the offensive line in 2021. As it turned out, these inept performances were the straw that broke the camel’s back for the Carolina Panthers.

Those in power within the organization made improving their protection a top priority this offseason. Something that could see this unit make some significant strides if everything clicks into place right away.

There are still some questions about who is playing quarterback. But given the options in front of whoever the Panthers go with under center, they will be in a much better position to succeed.

With this in mind, we took a look at how the offensive line might perform in our latest Panthers depth chart focus heading into a crucial 2022 training camp.

James Campen – Carolina Panthers OL coach

It came as no surprise to see the Carolina Panthers fire offensive line coach Pat Meyer following the 2021 season. His replacement comes with an exceptional pedigree spanning decades that should provide the protection with the biggest boost imaginable this offseason.

There isn’t much that James Campen hasn’t seen or done throughout his career. He has a tremendous reputation in league circles and this could provide the spark that ignites a much-improved unit ahead of a critical third season for head coach Matt Rhule.

Campen is knowledgeable, highly experienced, and comes with a proven track record of NFL success. Traits that Meyer simply didn’t possess.
