Taylor Moton – Carolina Panthers OT

Before the revolving door at left tackle, the right tackle position for the Carolina Panthers was one that couldn’t be figured out for quite a while.

Jordan Gross was actually the team’s starter at right tackle for a few years before shifting to the left side. This obviously proved to be an inspired move even if it did leave a gaping hole on the opposite side of the protection.

Taylor Moton was drafted in the second round in 2017 by the Panthers and since becoming a starter in 2018, he’s been extremely reliable and the only true building block on the offensive line.

Moton still seems like he has his best years ahead of him and he was rewarded with a big four-year contract before last season. This was followed by yet another campaign of exceptional production despite almost nobody else across the offensive line offering the same.

The former Western Michigan standout was an ever-present, giving up just one sack and conceding five penalties for a super 77.5 grade from Pro Football Focus. With better players around Moton in 2022, it should make his job a lot easier and even come with further improvements along the way.
