John Kasay – Former Carolina Panthers K

The kicker position is the most unpredictable one in the NFL and the Carolina Panthers were fortunate to find the right guy during its inaugural season and have him all the way until 2010.

John Kasay is the franchise’s all-time leading scorer and despite a botched kickoff in the 2003 Super Bowl, he is beloved by Panthers fans.

Kasay is second all-time for field goals made from 50+ yards (42) and is the only player to convert on four field goals from 46+ yards in a single game. This makes him one of the most important players in team history.

Todd Sauerbrun – Former Carolina Panthers P

The punter spot is a hard one to figure out, but Todd Sauerbrun was one of the league’s best during his short tenure in Carolina.

Sauerbrun played for the Panthers from 2001 to 2004 and put together plenty of team records during that time. He was named first-team All-Pro twice and a three-time Pro Bowler while in Carolina and ranks second in punting yards in team history.

Honorable mention: Jason Baker

JJ Jansen – Carolina Panthers LS

JJ Jansen is the GOAT.

You don’t hear about him often and that’s because he’s that good. He’s still around and will likely beat out Thomas Fletcher for the starting job once again in 2022.
