Robbie Anderson – Carolina Panthers WR

There was no player who embodied how things went for the Carolina Panthers in 2021 more than Robbie Anderson. The wide receiver regressed considerably on the back of his impressive first campaign with the organization, cutting a frustrated figure on the sidelines and leaving some real doubt about his long-term future with the franchise.

Anderson was the subject of trade speculation for the second-straight offseason.

The New England Patriots reportedly held discussions with the Panthers about a potential move. But nothing materialized and restructuring his deal halted all talk of the wideout being shipped out.

It appears as if Anderson is on a mission to prove his doubters wrong next time around. He’s been more vocal than usual on social media and is posting plenty of individual workout videos while skipping the voluntary portion of OTAs once again.

Carolina’s fanbase is getting tired of false promises and empty words from players and coaches. It’s time for results on the field and if Anderson can get back to his 2020 form, the better their hopes will be.

That will be easier said than done if Sam Darnold is still manning the plate under center. But unless Anderson turns things around, it might be his last campaign in Carolina.
