Josh Norman – Former Carolina Panthers CB

Father time waits for no man where the NFL is concerned.

Josh Norman could find that out to his cost this offseason.

The former Carolina Panthers cornerback is a long way removed from his phenomenal 2015 season with the team that came with All-Pro honors and earned Norman a lucrative deal in free agency from the Washington Commanders. Things didn’t go according to plan in a different environment, so choosing the payday over the contender is something the former fifth-round selection probably regrets.

Norman was a shutdown cornerback in his prime. He was an absolute revelation for the Panthers and this reputation has seen the Coastal Carolina product get opportunities with the Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers over the last two seasons.

However, with every passing year comes new, athletic defensive backs from the college ranks that make things difficult for aging players like Norman to get a shot. Something he is still waiting for this offseason.

Only time will tell as to whether or not an offer arrives. But Norman has made plenty of cash throughout his career and can look back on his career with great fondness if this is the end.
