Carolina Panthers coaching staff can help Matt Rhule in key moments

Matt Rhule survived some significant pressure after the 2021 season came to a conclusion. But in all honesty, all the talk of losing his job was from outside the organization and not from within.

David Tepper has faith in Rhule and it’s clear the players are all still pulling in the same direction. With that being said, the Carolina Panthers made some widespread changes to their coaching staff in the hope this can help their head coach come through some sticky situations that are bound to surface in 2022.

The Panthers now have a staff that is loaded with proven figures in prominent positions that have bags of NFL experience. There are even some who’ve held head coaching jobs in the past such as Ben McAdoo and Steve Wilks.

One of the major complications Rhule suffered since joining the Panthers is a failure to adjust during games. Having people around him that have seen it all will be a massive boost in this key area.

Rhule has clearly done some self-reflection this offseason at a time when it was needed most. There is nothing wrong with leaning on his staff in times of trouble, which could make all the difference and also prevent opposing coaches from getting the upper hand as they did on countless occasions in 2021.
