Which Carolina Panthers players could boost their trade value during the 2022 season?

There is not only a lot on the line for head coach Matt Rhule next season, but many players within the Carolina Panthers also have a tremendous amount at stake during a crucial campaign for the organization following so much underachievement lately.

The Panthers have done a good job strengthening the ranks throughout the spring. However, there are some concerns as to how much progress can be made on a tough-looking schedule that is home-game heavy early on and difficult down the stretch.

If things continue trending on a downward curve for Carolina next season, then it’s likely to come with some big changes to playing personnel and perhaps elsewhere depending on how the team fares in the face of some stern competition.

With this in mind, we picked out four Panthers players who could boost their trade value in 2022.

This might be a strange one to consider. But if the likes of Phil Hoskins and Daviyon Nixon show promise in Year 2 of their careers and Bravvion Roy also takes a step forward, then the Carolina Panthers might be able to move on the Baylor product for some much-needed draft capital.

Roy has been solid in a rotational role during his first two years with the team. There are some questions about his size and ability to stop the run, but production has been encouraging more often than not.

Whether Roy can earn the same amount of reps in 2022 with Hoskins and Nixon breathing down his neck is debatable. If he can and make his presence felt, then it’s unlikely to go unnoticed by other teams looking for help at the defensive tackle spot.
