DaQuan Jones – Former Carolina Panthers DT

It was an encouraging series of performers from DaQuan Jones during his one and only season with the Carolina Panthers in 2021. The defensive tackle formed a productive partnership with former first-round pick Derrick Brown and although things tailed off down the stretch, he can look back at his production with a sense of pride.

Jones couldn’t agree on an extended stay in Carolina and signed for the Buffalo Bills in free agency. This came on a two-year, $14 million deal with a $5.5 million signing bonus and $10.62 million guaranteed.

More importantly, it provides the lineman with a legitimate chance of getting his first Super Bowl ring.

Buffalo is the favorite to win it all next season. And with good reason when one looks at the talent and exceptional depth across Sean McDermott’s roster.

Jones will be tasked with anchoring a defensive front that also consists of Greg Rousseau, Ed Oliver, and Shaq Lawson. Having such capable individuals around him should help and if this foursome becomes the force expected, then the Bills will be incredibly difficult to stop.

The former fourth-round pick out of Penn State has a substantial opportunity awaiting him in 2022. Something that could even see Jones take his game to completely new heights on a contender.
