Jaycee Horn – Carolina Panthers CB

Despite a frustrating rookie season for Jaycee Horn that ended after just three weeks with a broken foot, the potential surrounding the cornerback remains unaltered. The former first-round pick appears extra motivated to make up for some lost time and the Carolina Panthers will be counting on him heavily when competitive action commences in 2022.

Horn is an alpha and has the scope to completely revolutionize the Panthers’ secondary providing there are no further complications on the health front. His size, length, and supreme athleticism should compensate for Stephon Gilmore’s departure in free agency and might even increase production in this area of the field if the necessary strides are made.

Early reports from OTAs indicate that Horn is not only back to his best, but the South Carolina product is also emerging into one of the team’s best players for good measure. Something that only adds to the immense excitement about his return.

There is no doubt Horn heard all the chatter about whether Carolina would have been better off taking a quarterback at No. 8 overall last year. This will provide all the extra motivation he needs to potentially enter the elite discussion if he puts a consistent run of games together.

Horn has the chance to make a statement going up against D.J. Moore during Carolina’s mandatory minicamp. A battle that should benefit both an untold amount.
