How will the Carolina Panthers approach Robbie Anderson’s return?

Robbie Anderson opted to skip voluntary OTAs for the second consecutive year. In an ideal world, this would be different, but the wide receiver clearly feels like he knows what’s best for his preparation ahead of a crucial third season for the player on the Carolina Panthers.

Anderson hit the headlines over the weekend when he tweeted about contemplating retirement. Something that he later deleted but the post was up long enough to generate some significant debate across the fanbase.

One could not accuse Anderson of conforming to a reserved approach.

He is a straight shooter that isn’t afraid to speak his mind. But keeping an eye on how the Panthers handle this latest situation with the Temple product once Anderson returns to team activities could have some big implications later in the summer and when the season gets underway.

Anderson has the talent, even if things didn’t go his way in 2021 en route to some career-low numbers after getting a lucrative contract from the Panthers. Finding consistency and chemistry with whoever Carolina deploys at the quarterback spot will help his cause, but the player also needs to recognize his own failings and make the necessary improvements.
