Much like the situation with Daviyon Nixon, the sample size was incredibly small for Jaycee Horn after the cornerback suffered a broken foot in Week 3 at the Houston Texans. This cut his rookie campaign short way ahead of schedule, but the Carolina Panthers clearly have a player of immense promise on their hands.

Horn looks like a shutdown corner in every shape and form. He is athletic, has the length needed, and is never overawed no matter the standard of wide receiver lining up against him.

The former South Carolina stud is looking to make up for some lost time in 2022. Horn has drawn rave reviews for his performances at OTAs and if this continues throughout the team’s upcoming training camp, then expectations will go through the roof as a result.

There is no fear in Horn. He talks a lot of trash on the field but backs it up with elite production that could end up locking down one side of the field for Carolina providing the player stays clear of any further injury problems next season.

Many fans believe that Horn is already the best defender Carolina has at its disposal. While that is a bullish claim considering his lack of experience, he has the chance to cement this status next season and could find himself as a potential NFL Comeback Player of the Year candidate if everything goes well.
