Terrace Marshall Jr. – Carolina Panthers WR

  • WR boosts reputation for potential breakout campaign.

Terrace Marshall Jr.’s rookie season was a frustrating one, to put it mildly. The second-round selection was anonymous thanks to no consistent quarterback play and difficulty getting open against elite cornerbacks, something that piles on additional pressure to avoid further concerns in 2022.

Marshall is a physically imposing wide receiver that has the athleticism needed to become a real force at the next level. Putting it all together in the right way has been difficult for the LSU product so far, but he’s been working hard on improving his game this offseason and was one of the Carolina Panthers’ standout performers during OTAs last week.

This was a positive step for Marshall. But he also shone last summer in training camp and the preseason without it meaning all that much when push came to shove.

There could be an opprtunity for Marshall to command more targets in Ben McAdoo’s system. Especially considering how much the team’s pass-catchers struggled to find the consistency needed last time around aside from D.J. Moore.

If Marshall can continue building some solid momentum during the team’s mandatory minicamp, it will fuel further optimism ahead of a possible breakout campaign for the wideout in 2022. Something that could be the catalyst behind some improved fortunes on the offensive side of things.
