Austin Corbett – Carolina Panthers OL

Asking a new signing to immediately change the culture is a tough task. But that doesn’t mean Austin Corbett won’t have a huge amount on his plate during his first season with the Carolina Panthers in 2022.

The Panthers haven’t done much winning lately. That’s pretty obvious and something that’s landed them top-10 selections in each of the last three drafts.

Corbett cannot say the same.

The interior offensive lineman became an influential presence for the Los Angeles Rams en route to a memorable Super Bowl triumph last season. This mentality of being around a thriving organization is just one positive element the veteran brings to the table.

Not only should Corbett be an immediate upgrade on anything Carolina churned out at the right guard spot last season, but if he can also lend some guidance on what it takes to become a postseason contender, the better the Panthers’ chances will be.

It’s going to take a collective effort to get the Panthers into legitimate playoff consideration. But make no mistake, Corbett will be a hugely important arrival both on and off the field providing his transition to a different environment goes according to or better than anticipated.
