D’Onta Foreman – Carolina Panthers RB

Arguably one of the most underrated free-agent additions this offseason, D’Onta Foreman could find himself being a very impactful player for the Carolina Panthers this upcoming season.

With Christian McCaffrey suffering season-ending injuries in each of the past two years, the Panthers quickly learned just how important having a reliable backup running back is.

Two years ago it was Mike Davis who took over and last season it was Chuba Hubbard who received the reigns.

Hubbard is still around but he’s no McCaffrey. The addition of Foreman gives Carolina a proven running back that has the ability to put up big numbers and also has experience filling in for a top player.

He did it last year with the Tennessee Titans when Derrick Henry was out for a handful of weeks. Listed at 6-foot-0 and 245 pounds, Foreman brings size and also speed to a team that will likely need to utilize McCaffrey much better this year.

Having Foreman is one thing if McCaffrey goes down. But the opportunity of using the All-Pro in the passing game and giving him some breathing time with the Texas product taking some snaps on short attempts could end up being extremely underrated.
