No longer a rookie, the Carolina Panthers will desperately be hoping that Terrace Marshall Jr. takes the next step into being a very good wide receiver. The 2021 second-round pick had some very decent moments last year but dealt with injuries and wasn’t really able to become a key part of the offense.

Something that simply has to change this time around.

Figuring out the quarterback situation will be the biggest key to success for Marshall and the presence of D.J. Moore and Robbie Anderson receiving a lot of the targets could set him back. But with his youth, his number might be called upon a lot more.

Moore has solidified himself as one of the league’s best receivers so Marshall needs to take advantage when teams lockdown on the Maryland product and try to battle with Anderson for the No. 2 receiver spot.

Marshall has the speed and athleticism to make a significant difference if everything comes together this summer. Meaning if he does have that breakout year, the Panthers’ offense has the potential to be one of the league’s best.

Carolina drafted Marshall for a reason and he shouldn’t be overlooked after a below-average rookie year that became almost anonymous for a multitude of different reasons.
