Frankie Luvu – Carolina Panthers LB

He might not be listed as the full-time starter but Frankie Luvu‘s impact was felt last season and if he can bring it up another notch this year, it will help the Carolina Panthers’ defense tremendously.

In his first season with the Panthers in 2021, Luvu came up with some big plays and helped spark the defense.

At just 25 years old, Luvu is still young and Carolina brought him back for a reason. The linebacker position is still up for grabs besides Shaq Thompson and with new addition Damien Wilson facing legal issues, the former Washington State star should have every opportunity to prove why he deserves to be a starter.

It feels like Luvu has been around a while. But frankly, the player just hasn’t been given the opportunity to show what he’s got in a consistent starting role.

Corey Littleton will likely play a lot after joining in free agency, meaning Luvu needs to prove his worth all over again. This might even come at the middle linebacker spot, which hasn’t been solidified since Luke Kuechly left town.

There is no reason to not believe in Luvu right now and being overlooked might be a good thing for him to eventually surprise the fanbase.
