Robbie Anderson – Carolina Panthers WR

There appears little doubt that Robbie Anderson remains a big part of the Carolina Panthers on and off the field. But starting training camp on the right foot after such a turbulent offseason period is absolutely essential for the wide receiver.

Anderson returned to the Panthers during their mandatory minicamp and reaffirmed his commitment to the organization as only he can after tweeting about contemplating retirement. That is nothing but good news providing the Temple product bounces back following a poor 2021 where he posted career-low numbers across the board.

His exceptional footwork, elite speed, and ability to get open quickly are all traits that new offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo can put to good use. But for this to happen, Anderson has to get on the same page with whoever is under center.

If that’s Sam Darnold, then improve chemistry.

If it’s Baker Mayfield or Jimmy Garoppolo, put his personal feelings aside and do what’s best for the team.

If it’s Matt Corral, do whatever it takes to help the third-round selection thrive.

Anderson is an established veteran that the Panthers are looking to for inspiration. Anything less than this in training camp will only bring around further complications.
