Carolina Panthers should monitor Ken Dorsey

Another name that the Carolina Panthers should have half an eye on in the event Matt Rhule fails to deliver in Year 3 of his tenure is Ken Dorsey. The Buffalo Bills promoted the respected coach to offensive coordinator in the wake of Brian Daboll taking the New York Giants job, so if he thrives in the role then a few interviews will be coming his way in 2023.

Dorsey is a young, progressive coach who played the quarterback position himself. So he knows how to deliver and his appointment could bring out even more from NFL MVP candidate Josh Allen next season.

Losing Daboll was a big blow for the Bills, but their strength in depth is absolutely off the charts and if Dorsey can find a way to unlock a little extra from a gifted offense, then an elusive Super Bowl is well within their capabilities.

Even though Dorsey didn’t make any great strides during his time under center himself, he’s taken to coaching exceptionally well and the Bills feel confident little momentum will be lost in the immediate aftermath of Daboll’s departure.

Should Rhule get the hook at some stage, then Dorsey might be high on the shortlist depending on what transpires next season. It would also strengthen the ever-growing connections between Carolina and Buffalo.
