Which Carolina Panthers players must realize their potential during the 2022 season?

There is an enormous amount of pressure on the Carolina Panthers to finally put a consistent run of results together in 2022. Fans are getting tired of excuses, talk of the process, and a lack of achievement from a team that’s been on a steady decline ever since their trip to the Super Bowl in 2015.

Hopefully, a decent period of recruitment in free agency coupled with the development of current roster members can make all the difference. The Panthers also added some impressive coaches to further boost their hopes.

Matt Rhule must also make changes to his approach. And the situation at quarterback remains the key concern after Carolina struck out on some major targets earlier this offseason.

It promises to be a fascinating campaign for everyone associated with the Panthers. But here are four players that must realize their potential in 2022.

It’s now or never for Ian Thomas.

That simple, really.

The Carolina Panthers placed a significant amount of faith in the tight end by handing him a three-year extension this offseason. Something that did come as a surprise considering his lack of involvement in the passing game.

Ben McAdoo’s arrival could be the spark Thomas needs to put his impressive physical attributes to better use. The presence of Tommy Tremble should also give the Indiana product an added sense of urgency to increase influence next time around.
