The Carolina Panthers cannot afford for these players to get injured if they want to stand any chance of attaining respectability in 2022.

Having talent is one thing. But the Carolina Panthers and everyone else across the league will be hoping that their top performers stay healthy throughout the campaign.

This forms an important part of team success. Something that’s hindered the Panthers in recent years across key positional groups during one of the most dismal spells in franchise history.

Things are clearly hanging in the balance for Carolina in 2022. However, if influential figures on the roster maintain peak physical fitness throughout a grueling 17-game schedule, then they might just have a slight window of opportunity despite questions on defense and at the quarterback position.

With this in mind, we picked out five players that the Panthers cannot afford to lose to injury next season.

Austin Corbett – Carolina Panthers OL

The Carolina Panthers did a nice job of strengthening their offensive line via free agency and the 2022 NFL Draft. James Campen’s arrival is also a significant upgrade from a coaching standpoint in this particular area of the field.

Austin Corbett was the big-money arrival that will be counted upon heavily. The right guard shone for the Los Angeles Rams during their memorable Super Bowl victory last season and if he builds on this in a different environment, it’s going to make a massive difference.

Should Corbett get injured at any stage, then Carolina’s depth chart pieces are suspect at best. This would obviously be a major complication.
