Carolina Panthers get Jaycee Horn back

After leaving the biggest impression imaginable during his brief time on the field in 2021, fans will hopefully get the chance to witness what Jaycee Horn can do for an entire campaign. The gifted cornerback has not been seen in a competitive setting since breaking his foot in Week 3 at the Houston Texans, but the South Carolina product is all systems go for training camp and the new season.

The Carolina Panthers made a big call by taking Horn at No. 8 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. This came with an added sense of anticipation in a position of need, which the player more than lived up to early on before an unfortunate turn of events.

Horn certainly looks the part this offseason and will be tasked with shutting down one side of the field against the opposition’s best wide receiver consistently. That might be a lot to ask of someone with just 2.5 NFL games under his belt, but his alpha mindset and exceptional athletic traits make it an achievable objective.

Fans were deprived of watching Horn progress into a dominant force as a rookie. Providing there are no further complications on the health front, this is something they can look forward to with a great sense of excitement in 2022.

This is a player with the world at his feet. Horn is a tone-setter that could be the spark needed to make Carolina’s secondary one of the league’s most prolific if everything goes well.
