Which Carolina Panthers could be set for bigger and better things during a crossroads 2022 campaign for the franchise?

Just what the Carolina Panthers can achieve in 2022 following another offseason of substantial upheaval is anyone’s guess. Not many in the national media are expecting Matt Rhule’s men to be anything more than a bottom-feeder, which is largely down to the head coach’s capabilities and the ongoing complications that could emerge at the quarterback spot.

Outside of those two problems, there are also doubts surrounding defensive line depth and the middle linebacker spot. So things are hanging in the balance and even the brightest Panthers optimist would have a hard time suggesting this team was ready to contend.

It could go either way. Something that the long-suffering fanbase is all-too-aware of right now.

Without further ado, we picked out five Panthers players that could be set for bigger things in 2022 if everything goes according to plan.

Frankie Luvu – Carolina Panthers LB

After making the biggest splash imaginable as part of the rotation in 2021, the Carolina Panthers look set to provide Frankie Luvu with more responsibilities next season. The organization made the right move by handing him a new deal and a significant upturn in numbers is well within reach providing the Washington State product gets more time to shine.

Luvu’s energy and explosiveness were a major asset to the linebacking corps. Something that’s been sorely lacking within the unit since Luke Kuechly hung up his cleats due to health concerns.

Couple this with an All-Pro-caliber contribution on special teams and it’s not hard to see why keeping Luvu around was one of the team’s top priorities this offseason.
