5 Carolina Panthers players set for bigger and better things in 2022

Robbie Anderson – Carolina Panthers WR
Drama has followed Robbie Anderson around plenty throughout the offseason so far. A disappointing season for the wide receiver in 2021 was swiftly followed by trade speculation, skipping voluntary OTAs, and even included a tweet contemplating retirement at one stage.
Thankfully, that is now in the rearview mirror and Anderson is gearing up to put the necessary foundations in place for a bounce-back season in 2022. Something the former Temple star could certainly accomplish within Ben McAdoo’s system that relies heavily on playmakers getting open quickly and creating yards after the catch.
Anderson proved more than capable of this in his first season with the Carolina Panthers. His quick twitch off the line of scrimmage was a notable feature and although this tailed off last season, there were other factors in play such as a distinct lack of consistency at the quarterback position.
Just who’ll be distributing the football under center remains uncertain. From Anderson’s perspective, he must make the best of it and cut out the individual mistakes that blighted parts of the previous campaign.
If Anderson can adjust well to McAdoo’s demands and return to his 2020 form, then there is every chance Carolina can make the improvements needed on offense to become competitive, at the very least.
