How did the Carolina Panthers manage to win throughout an extremely busy offseason period ahead of the 2022 campaign?

It was a frantic offseason for the Carolina Panthers. Something that wasn’t entirely unexpected after the team once again flattered to deceive in 2021 en route to another five-win campaign – their third in succession.

Things were in need of a shake-up. The Panthers were active with the money available in free agency and they also managed to secure some exciting draft picks that could solidify certain problem positions in the short and long term.

There is just no way to tell for sure how things will play out in 2022. The schedule is tough and although morale remains high within the locker room, it’s going to take a significant turnaround to convince people this is a franchise capable of contending in the not-too-distant future.

Matt Rhule kept his job despite fans and some media figures projecting otherwise. But all around the head coach has altered with some coaching firings and hirings this spring.

One of the most notable was Steve Wilks, who’s spent time with the Carolina Panthers before and brings a vast amount of knowledge to his new role as the team’s defensive backs coach.

The Panthers have an abundance of talent across the secondary. If Wilks can help them reach new heights, then it could be the springboard to future head coaching consideration once again.
