Which Carolina Panthers veterans find themselves firmly on the roster bubble ahead of the team’s 2022 training camp in Spartanburg?

The Carolina Panthers are now gearing up for what promises to be another intense few weeks at Wofford College during training camp. There are plenty of roster spots up for grabs and new coaches to impress, so it’ll be fascinating to see which players can generate momentum at a crucial stage of the preparation period.

Any nice surprises the Panthers get from certain individuals will be welcome. The team is looking to make strides in Year 3 of Matt Rhule’s reign and this was normally the time in college where his rebuilding process took a major leap in the right direction.

The NFL is a completely different animal, obviously. So it’s important for Rhule and his staff to get their roster choices right with a view to hitting the ground running in 2022.

With this in mind, here are five Panthers veterans that find themselves on the roster bubble as before they descend on Spartanburg for camp.

Michael Jordan – Carolina Panthers OL

Michael Jordan looked like a player of real promise at one stage during the 2021 season. However, it’s hard to look at his prospects with any sort of confidence this time around.

The former fourth-round pick turned out in 703 snaps for the Carolina Panthers last time around, giving up six sacks and conceding five penalties en route to a less than stellar 50.6 grade from Pro Football Focus. Those in power bolstered their interior options heavily this offseason, so Jordan has his work cut out remaining in the team’s plans.

Jordan is still just 24 years old, which might give him a chance of making the roster over a veteran with less upside. But much will depend on new offensive line coach James Campen’s assessment at the conclusion of camp.
