Ranking the 6 best Carolina Panthers free-agent signings in 2022

Bradley Bozeman – Carolina Panthers OL
- One year, $2.8 million deal ($1 million guaranteed)
Solidifying the offensive line was priority No. 1 for the Carolina Panthers this offseason. Things could not continue with such dismal production no matter who is under center, which has seen the starting options across the unit receive a substantial makeover in free agency and the 2022 NFL Draft.
Nobody was complaining about that. Carolina is likely to have four new starters to go alongside stud right tackle Taylor Moton and the acquisition of Bradley Bozeman from the Baltimore Ravens comes with a substantial amount of intrigue.
Bozeman was an ultra-consistent presence at the center position for the Ravens in 2021, giving up three sacks and conceding just one penalty from 1,125 snaps. Something that also came with an outstanding 73.3 grade from Pro Football Focus.
The Panthers somehow managed to get Bozeman on a very cheap deal compared to what he could potentially bring to the franchise. Although this might also be a case of the player betting on himself with a view to getting a megabucks deal in 2023.
That’s for the future. For now, Bozeman will be tasked with anchoring a protection that also has a franchise left tackle in Ikem Ekwonu and far better options on the interior to further aid their cause.
