D.J. Moore – Carolina Panthers WR

Considering the lack of stability at the quarterback position, D.J. Moore’s production has been nothing short of remarkable. The wide receiver has gone over 1,000 yards in three straight seasons and the Carolina Panthers rewarded him for this exceptional consistency with a bumper new deal during the offseason to keep him around long term.

The scary thing about Moore is that there might be even more to come with better distribution under center. Something the Panthers are hoping Baker Mayfield will provide in 2022 and potentially beyond.

Mayfield is reportedly keen to familiarize himself with his new teammates and will organize a get-together before training camp with his primary pass-catchers, according to David Newton of ESPN. Moore will be present, one suspects, so getting on the same page quickly could reap some substantial rewards when the real action gets underway.

Everything is in position for Mayfield. Carolina has a new offensive line that should provide better protection, Christian McCaffrey is alongside him in the backfield, and Moore is among the most reliable wideouts anywhere in the league.

Moore has yet to reach a Pro Bowl despite these outstanding numbers. But if the Maryland product hits the ground running with Mayfield, then 2022 might be the season where this milestone is accomplished.
