4 Panthers coaches who could get promotions if things go well in 2022

Terrance Knighton – Carolina Panthers assistant DL coach
There are a number of former NFL players currently making their way through the coaching ranks across the league. This is a relatively new shift in approach, but the benefits of having those who know what it takes to succeed on the sidelines cannot be underestimated in the grand scheme of things.
One such individual making a name for himself within the Carolina Panthers is Terrance Knighton. The one-time defensive tackle amassed 108 games in seven seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Detroit Lions, and Washington, which has seen him command instant respect as he looks to get his coaching career off on the right foot.
Knighton’s no-nonsense approach and ability to motivate played a significant role in a successful first campaign with the franchise. If further strides are made this time around and the likes of Derrick Brown and Brian Burns flourish, then it could make all difference despite some obvious challenges on the schedule.
There are a number of talented young players on the defensive front capable of making strides under Knighton and the experienced Paul Pasqualoni following his hire earlier this offseason. Should this be accomplished and genuine progression achieved, then it could see a promotion come the former Temple star’s way.
Whether that’s in Carolina or on another team is the big question.
