4 Panthers coaches who could get promotions if things go well in 2022

Steve Wilks – Carolina Panthers DB coach
There is a lot of potential within the Carolina Panthers’ secondary. It’s a group full of promising players capable of turning any contest on its head with elite athleticism and NFL-ready instincts to come through in a pressurized setting.
Now the Panthers also have a coach that can take this unit to new heights.
The return of Steve Wilks was widely celebrated once confirmed this offseason. His experience and proven credentials will be a huge asset to call upon and even though he was dealt an unfair hand as Arizona Cardinals head coach, this provides him with a foot in the door once again.
Wilks has the personality that makes players run through a brick wall for him. This is matched by a real nous for bringing the best out of the individuals at his disposal on a daily basis.
Just what Wilks can do with the likes of Jaycee Horn, Jeremy Chinn, Donte Jackson, and Xavier Woods will be something to monitor closely. There is also real hope he can work his magic with former first-round pick C.J. Henderson and promising second-year-pro Keith Taylor.
The possibilities are endless. Something that could mean Wilks’ time with the organization comes to an end quickly if another team offers him a better job title in 2023.
