Carolina Panthers could sign A’Shawn Robinson

Freeing himself from the Detroit Lions turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to A’Shawn Robinson’s career. A move to the Los Angeles Rams brought around a new lease of life in the player, who was at the top of his game to play a big role in the team clinching a memorable Super Bowl triumph in 2021.

Playing alongside one of the league’s greatest-ever defenders in Aaron Donald obviously helps. But that should not detract from what a relentless force Robinson was almost from start to finish.

If the defensive tackle enjoys another productive campaign next season, then it’s unlikely the Rams will have enough money to keep him on the books. Something that should make the Carolina Panthers sit up and take notice.

The former Alabama stud is an instant upgrade on anything Carolina’s put alongside Derrick Brown. Should the Matt Ioannidis experiment fail to bring the right result, then Robinson could become a primary target entering his prime years.

Los Angeles is expected to make another bold bid to retain its crown in 2022. If Robinson can increase his production, then it will help their cause and also add some extra dollars to his representatives’ demands when the time comes.
