Which Carolina Panthers players are guaranteed to turn heads when the team descends on Spartanburg for training camp this summer?

Things were always going to be interesting for the Carolina Panthers in training camp. But the recent acquisition of quarterback Baker Mayfield from the Cleveland Browns has added some extra spice ahead of a testing few weeks in Spartanburg before the 2022 season.

It’s another major roll of the dice from Carolina in pursuit of finding the right answer under center. Sam Darnold and Matt Corral should provide competition, but it appears to be Mayfield’s job to lose after the Panthers finally reached an agreement following months of negotiations.

There is a lot at stake for the Panthers next season, which is their third under head coach Matt Rhule. Everything must come together quickly in camp for this talented roster to shine, with a strong start well within the team’s capabilities before things get tougher further down the schedule.

With that being said, here are five Panthers players who are guaranteed to turn heads at Wofford College later this month.

After contributing almost nothing during his rookie season, there are some positive signs emerging for Terrace Marshall Jr. this offseason. He’s reportedly looked the part during early workouts and if this continues during camp, then a huge upturn in production could be in the offing.

The Carolina Panthers placed a significant amount of faith in Marshall by taking him at No. 59 overall last year. His physical tools are vast, but putting it all together was a problem for the LSU product last time around and he was even a healthy scratch for their game at the Miami Dolphins.

Marshall should be one of the main beneficiaries of Ben McAdoo’s arrival. Having improved production under center with Baker Mayfield is something else working in his favor.
