Frankie Luvu – Carolina Panthers LB

The impact made by Frankie Luvu during last year’s training camp was immense. His influence immediately saw the linebacker go from the roster bubble onto the rotation, with the Washington State product producing a series of outstanding displays on defense and special teams.

Luvu was deservedly handed a new deal to keep him around this offseason. With Haason Reddick no longer around, there is also an opportunity for the player to earn a starting spot if everything goes according to plan in Spartanburg.

Having Luvu’s energy and natural instincts next season will be a real asset. The Carolina Panthers still look a little short of reliable options on the front seven, so they’ll need him firing on all cylinders from start to finish.

There is nothing to suggest Luvu is not more than capable of meeting these objectives. He looks like a new player working under Phil Snow and is also bringing his leadership skills on well to further increase the esteem in which he is held within the locker room.

Nobody will be working harder than Luvu in camp. But expectations are much higher this time around than they were last summer and this is something the veteran must be ready for in no uncertain terms.
