D’Onta Foreman – Carolina Panthers RB

D’Onta Foreman was a surprising signing this offseason for the Carolina Panthers – in a good way. The running back played for the Tennessee Titans last season and came up big for them once Derrick Henry went down, which helped them secure the AFC’s No. 1 seed.

In 2021, Foreman only played in nine regular season games and had the best season of his career. He tallied 566 rushing yards with three touchdowns while also catching nine passes for 123 receiving yards.

During the Titans’ lone playoff game, Foreman had four rushing attempts for 66 yards. In one of those attempts, he ripped off a 45-yard run that was a prime example of what traits he could bring to the Panthers with a smooth transition.

Foreman was a big part of a good team and helped the Titans win games last season. Pairing Foreman with Christian McCaffrey could be the best backfield tandem Carolina’s had since Johnathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams.

Foreman is a power back – something the Panthers could use mightily this upcoming season. Expect him to be a big part of the offense that Baker Mayfield will be running and the quarterback will need to rely on the No. 2 option to get the offense out of some tough short-yardage situations.
