Terrace Marshall Jr. – Carolina Panthers WR

It’s far too soon to be writing off Terrace Marshall Jr. despite his lack of production in 2021. The wide receiver was a non-factor in the passing game almost from start to finish, which represented a blow for the Carolina Panthers after they ignored their offensive line needs to select the LSU product at No. 59 overall.

Marshall has every physical attribute imaginable to make a real go of his professional career. Inconsistent quarterback play and no offensive diversity didn’t help, but the player also found life difficult getting open and was even benched for Carolina’s game against the Miami Dolphins.

Putting this experience to good use is something Marshall has to do moving forward. He’s reportedly looked the part during early offseason workouts and the appointment of Ben McAdoo as offensive coordinator is another element that could unlock the wideout’s obvious potential.

The Panthers have a new quarterback and an improved offensive line, so if both live up to their end of the bargain, there should be plenty of chances for Marshall to bounce back in fine style. But there is plenty of hard work ahead for the player in training camp.

If things go the other way and Marshall suffers similar complications, then some significant concerns about Carolina’s decision to bring him on board won’t be far behind.
