Jaycee Horn vs. D.J. Moore

The return to full health of Jaycee Horn comes with a significant amount of anticipation. Fans are expecting the second-year-pro to emerge as a true shutdown presence at the cornerback position despite turning out in just 2.5 games as a rookie thanks to a broken foot suffered in Week 3 at the Houston Texans, which derailed an extremely positive start.

Horn looks 100 percent now and has been making waves during early workouts. He’ll be looking to reaffirm his alpha status within the Carolina Panthers at Wofford College, so expect to see the No. 8 overall selection last year line up against D.J. Moore early and often in training camp.

Although Horn has all the athletic attributes imaginable, he’ll have his work cut out keeping Moore in check. The wide receiver went over 1,000 yards once again last season despite more inconsistent distribution under center, which was enough for the Panthers to hand him a well-deserved and lucrative contract extension earlier this year.

It might take a little time for Horn to get his football legs back under him. Although he’s been working out a lot, there’s nothing like getting the pads on and competing against the best to speed things along.

Whenever Horn and Moore lock up versus one another, it will be something to behold. And it could make a substantial difference to the South Carolina product in pursuit of hitting the ground running as a sophomore.
