Charleston Rambo – Carolina Panthers WR

Much like the cornerback situation, any wide receiver looking to generate some targets will have their work cut out. The Carolina Panthers have an abundance of weapons at their disposal, although most failed to meet modest targets in 2021 for varying reasons during a disappointing campaign overall.

The Panthers kept faith with their options this spring. But they also picked up a number of talented college prospects in undrafted free agency in the event some cannot raise performance levels in training camp.

One wideout with more going for him than most is Charleston Rambo. The gifted playmaker was unfortunate not to hear his name called during the draft after accumulating 79 receptions for 1,172 receiving yards and seven touchdowns following his transfer from Oklahoma to Miami, but the Panthers wasted little time in signing him once the selection process concluded.

This proves that Rambo can handle the pressure. Something that will stand him in good stead during camp with little margin for error.

Rambo is a smooth route-runner that can stretch the field. His ball skills are first-class, although his size could suggest he’s more suited to a slot role in the NFL.

What’s important for Rambo is taking advantage of every target in camp and the preseason. But his upside with a smooth transition is obvious.
