The sense of excitement was palpable as the Carolina Panthers reported for duty ahead of their first training camp practice on Wednesday. Players and coaches checked into their dorms at Wofford College, which is their home for the next few weeks before a crucial Week 1 opener against the Cleveland Browns at Bank of America Stadium.
Everyone seemed to be in good spirits and in a relaxed mood upon meeting up. Many offensive players got together for a pre-camp throwing session featuring newly-acquired quarterback Baker Mayfield, which can hopefully be the springboard to great things in Spartanburg before the stakes get higher.

The inevitable questions arrived D.J. Moore’s way regarding the upcoming quarterback competition in training camp. Something that will have an impact on whether the former first-round pick can enter the Pro Bowl discussion in 2022.
Moore produces the goods no matter the standard of distribution. But the Maryland product towed the party line and indicated his excitement at seeing things unfold.
