Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey feels better than ever

Christian McCaffrey‘s unavailability over the last two seasons has been a major source of frustration. Had the running back maintained his iron man image, the Carolina Panthers would probably be in a much better position entering Year 3 of Matt Rhule’s reign.

Sadly, McCaffrey’s workload has taken a heavy toll on the former first-round selection. Something that is likely to come with a shift in dynamic regarding how the Panthers use their best offensive weapon.

McCaffrey rocked up to Wofford College looking great. The Stanford product stated that it’ll take some time to trust the new process, but he’ll be ready to contribute in whatever way possible to assist the organization moving forward.

"“I feel great. I feel the best I’ve ever felt. I’m ready to go.  I know whatever happens I’ll be ready to roll, full speed. Never gone into a game feeling I was underprepared. So I’ll be ready to go this year. I’m just excited to be healthy. Feeling fast. Feeling ready to rock.”"

Whether the Panthers allocate any carries to McCaffrey in the preseason remains to be seen. It does appear unlikely, so making the most of his time on the field in practice is the best way he can ready himself for the challenges that lie ahead.

McCaffrey stating he’s in peak condition and putting a consistent run of games together are two completely separate things. Hopefully, for the player and the Panthers, his complications can rapidly become a thing of the past.
