4 Panthers players whose stock fell after training camp Week 1

Robbie Anderson – Carolina Panthers WR

In terms of what we usually get from Robbie Anderson, this has been a very quiet week for the Carolina Panthers’ wide receiver. Some were even questioning whether or not he’d reported to camp as we’d seen or heard nothing from the player.

He was finally spotted on the field but unfortunately for Anderson, the early signs weren’t great. While we saw plays from the likes of D.J. Moore, Terrace Marshall Jr., and even those further down the depth chart like Shi Smith and C.J. Saunders, it’s been almost anonymous from the Temple product.

All we saw posted about Anderson was him seemingly being locked up by Donte Jackson. And the cornerback didn’t mind letting him know who was winning the battle.

It was also noted that Anderson had a few miscommunications – mainly with new quarterback Baker Mayfield on back shoulder throws.

Now it’s worth noting that Anderson was absent from the throwing session in Charlotte organized by Sam Darnold involving all the quarterbacks and the majority of skill position players.

While of course, it’s only training camp, things should hopefully improve for Anderson as the pads come on. However, with Marshall on the up, it’ll be interesting to see how the veteran responds to the challenge.
