Carolina Panthers WR Terrace Marshall Jr. catches the eye

After a disappointing rookie season for Terrace Marshall Jr., it’s clear that the wide receiver has a renewed purpose this offseason. The former second-round pick has flashed considerable promise throughout the team’s training camp so far, demonstrating athleticism and physicality that can hopefully be of use when the Carolina Panthers get down to business in Week 1.

Marshall made a few nice plays once again on Monday, which further enhanced his status as a prominent member of the wideout room. Many are even anticipating the LSU product to push Robbie Anderson all the way for No. 2 on the depth chart when it’s all said and done.

This caught the eye of Jordan Reid, ESPN’s draft analyst who was in attendance for the session and declared an excitement at seeing what Marshall might be able to accomplish during his second campaign in a professional environment.

"“Terrace Marshall Jr. was one player that stood out and continued to flash throughout multiple periods of practice today at Panthers camp. Interested to see him during his second year. He looks the part up close.”"

Any additional momentum Marshall can generate between now and competitive action arriving will be a bonus. If the player becomes more influential and earns the trust of offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo, then a potential breakout campaign won’t be too far behind.
